Cairo – Mubasher: The benchmark EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rose at Sunday’s close by 1.54% or 189.12 points to the level of 12,499.61 points.
The EGX70 index ascended 3.56% to 494 points, the EGX100 index grew 2.91% to 1,185.75 points, and the EGX50 index levelled up 1.34% to 1,946.6 points.
Trading volume reached 199.7 million shares, as turnover amounted to EGP 795 million.
Market capitalisation increased EGP 9.77 billion to reach EGP 612.9 billion.
Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 33 million, while net sales amounted to EGP 20.3 million by local investors, and EGP 12.6 million by Arabs.
Pioneers led the green list after adding 4.18%, Cairo Oils and Soap rose 4.12%, Ezz Steel advanced 3.33%, and Madinet Nasr ascended 3.21%.
Heavyweight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) increased 1.87% to EGP 75.25.
On the other hand, Porto Holding declined 3.85%, Amer Holding fell 3.33%, and Domty shrank 2.75%.
