Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian cabinet approved the local wheat procurement price at EGP 725 per ardeb for a purity rate of 23.5 carats for the 2021 harvest season, up by 25% compared to 2020 season.
The local wheat buying price has been set at EGP 715 per ardeb for 23-carat purity and EGP 705 per ardeb for 22.5-carat purity, according to a statement on Wednesday.
The harvest season in Egypt begins in mid-April.
