Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian minister of manpower and immigration announced Wednesday, 1 May, is a full-paid holiday for the private sector in celebration of the Labour Day.
This comes in accordance with the provisions of law no. 12 of 2003, Mohamed Saafan said in a statement on Monday.
Business owners can make employees work during this day, but in that case, the employees would be entitled to receive double the amount the employee is usually remunerated, the minister noted.
