Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan, announced that Thursday, 7 January, is a full-paid holiday for the private sector in celebration of the Coptic Christmas.
This comes in accordance with the provisions of law no. 12 of 2003, Saafan added in a statement on Monday.
Business owners can make employees work on this day, but in that case, the employees would be entitled to receive double the payment, the minister noted.
