Egypt allocates EGP 2.4bn for Assiut villages under Haya Karima initiative

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has allocated EGP 2.4 billion to implement projects in 90 of the neediest villages in Assiut governorate under the second phase of Haya Karima (A Decent Life) initiave, the Governor, Essam Saad, said.

Projects will be established in various sectors, including road pavement, drinking water, sanitation, street lighting, electricity, health, education, sports, and handicrafts, based on the needs of each village, he added in a statement on Monday.

The first phase of the initiative covered 60 villages in Assiut, which is currenlty witnessing an unprecedented surge in developmental projects, he noted.
