Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is planning to develop 375 villages by the end of 2021 as part of the first and second phases of Hayah Karima (A Decent Life) initiative.
The development programme is expected to be complete within three years, down from an originally proposed 15 years, as per the directives of the President Abdel Fattah, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said in a statement on Tuesday.
A total of 4,300 villages are planned to be developed in three years at a cost of EGP 500 billion.
The initiative is aimed at localising industries, creating jobs, and improving the living standards of citizens.
