Cairo - Mubasher: Bilateral trade between Egypt and Malaysia amounted to $503 million during 2020, Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea revealed.
The traded commodities included vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices, phosphates, fertilisers, chemicals, palm oil, petroleum and mineral oils, and rubber, Gamea said in a statement on Wednesday.
Gamea held a meeting with the Malaysian Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, Mohd Khairuddin Bin Aman, to explore the possible means of boosting cooperation between the two countries.
The value of Malaysian investments in Egypt reached $60 million injected into 26 companies operating in petroleum, gas, electricity, contracting, trade, tourism, and information technology sectors.
