Egypt’ stock market closes Wednesday down

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) main index (EGX30) closed Wednesday lower by 0.76% at 11,451 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also went down by 0.68% to 2,120 points.

The EGX100 EWI fell by 0.85% to close at 3,110 points. Similarly, the EGX50 EWI lost 1.45% to 2,003 points.

The trading value stood at EGP 1.24 billion through the exchange of 346.19 million shares, compared to EGP 1.77 billion and 622.48 million shares last session.

The market cap value declined to EGP 723.96 billion from EGP 728.96 billion on Tuesday.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors continued for the second session in a row to be net buyers with EGP 32.3 million and EGP 59.7 million, respectively, while foreign traders remained net sellers with EGP 92 million.
