Eastern Company to renew deal with JTI, launch new cigarette product

Cairo – Mubasher: The board of directors of Eastern Company decided to renew the cooperation agreement with Japan Tobacco International (JTI) for a three-year term, according to a bourse disclosure on Sunday. 

In a separate statement, the tobacco manufacturer stated that the board has agreed to produce and sell a limited edition of Matossian brand in the Egyptian market as one of Cleopatra Super's brand family in terms of size and combination. 

The new product will be offered at a selling price of EGP 24 per pack according to the sales plan. 

During the first nine months of fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, the Eastern Company posted net profits of EGP 3.88 billion, up from EGP 3.13 billion in the same period a year earlier.
