Cairo – Mubasher: Eastern Company logged net profits of EGP 4.28 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021, up by 12.8% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 3.79 billion a year earlier.
The net revenues increased to EGP 16.02 billion in the year ended 30 June, compared to EGP 14.46 billion in FY19/20, the tobacco manufacturer said in a bourse disclosure on Sunday.
The company's board of directors recommended a cash dividend distribution of EGP 1.5 per share for FY20/21, divided into two payments worth EGP 111.41 million and EGP 3.23 million.
During the first nine months of FY20/21, Eastern Company achieved net profits of EGP 3.88 billion, up from EGP 3.13 billion in the same period a year earlier.
