UAE - Mubasher: ENOC Group, the integrated energy partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, has completed the construction of its pavilion at Expo 2020 with its five distinct structures.
The group has used 700 tonnes of steel in the construction of the pavilion, spanning over 2,060 square metres, to enhance environmental sustainability, according to a press release on Monday.
In addition, the use of steel will enable the group to further reuse the pavilion buildings and return the site to its original state the six-month mega event concludes on 31 March 2022.
A mixed mode functional design for HVAC systems was also installed in the pavilion to decrease its energy consumption by 20.1% lower than ASHRAE 90.1 benchmark assessment.
Under the theme of 'Reimagine Energy', the pavilion is in line with sustainability and design standards set by the Expo 2020 team to focus on local and recyclable materials in the build plan.
The Group CEO of ENOC, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, remarked: "Despite the challenges faced, our team worked around the clock, following all safety protocols to deliver a state-of-the-art pavilion that will offer visitors an unforgettable experience, that will inspire and encourage them to rethink about what energy is, the potential it holds and how it can change our lives."
