EGX30 ends Thursday above 10,500 pts; market cap up EGP 6.9bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday's trading session in the green territory amid Arab and foreign purchases.

The main EGX30 index climbed by 1.21% to end at 10,517.03 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.84% to 2,722.61 points.

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 1.09% to 3,671.65 points and the EGX50 EWI increased by 1.24% to 2,313.23 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 6.9 billion to stand at EGP 703.3 billion.

Foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 17.7 million and EGP 19.8 million, respectively, while local investors were net sellers with EGP 37.5 million. 

The market's turnover amounted to EGP 906.6 million after 297.2 million shares were exchanged through around 37,490 transactions.
