EGX30 ends Sunday below 9,800 pts

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a varied note amid foreign selloffs and local and Arab purchases. 

The main EGX30 index slid by 0.69% to end at 9,797 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.4% to 2,329 points. 

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI increased by 0.9% to 3,255 points and the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.66% to 2,163 points. 

The market cap value retreated by EGP 813.9 million to close at EGP 632.287 billion.

Arab and local investors were net buyers with EGP 8.7 million and EGP 19.3 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 28.14 million. 

The market’s turnover reached EGP 1.34 billion after 466.58 million shares were exchanged through about 48,670 transactions.
