EGX’s main index ends Tuesday in green zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 main index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) went up 0.37% to close Tuesday's trading session at 11,524.66 points.

The EGX100 EWI also inched up by 1.3% to 3,166.7 points, and the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.52% to 2,146.61 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.9% to 2,022.55 points.

A total of 301.367 million shares were traded at a total value of EGP 2.9 billion, compared to 265.85 million shares exchanged at a total value of  EGP 1.04 billion on Monday.

Meanwhile, the market cap value increased to EGP 734.896 billion from EGP 730.25 billion in the previous session.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 42.668 million and EGP 6.934 million, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 49.602 million.
