EGX’s main index closes Tuesday down

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s session lower by 0.22% at 10,438.95 points.

Meanwhile, the EGX50 EWI rose by 0.24% to 1,840.96 points.

Similarly, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI gained 0.48% to close at 1,830.53 points. EGX100 EWI also went up by 0.38% to 2,768.76 points.

EGX’s trading value amounted to EGP 613.66 million after 277.07 million shares were traded. The market cap value totalled EGP 689.56 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 10.13 million and EGP 16.16 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 26.29 million.
