EGX’s indices settle lower Wednesday; Market cap loses EGP 6.2bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices declined at the end of Wednesday’s session, with market capitalisation shrank by EGP 6.19 billion to stand at EGP 700.18 billion.

The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 1.17% to 13,845 points, while the EGX70 index shed 0.94% to 1,257.42  points.

The EGX100 index shed 0.79% to close at 1,380 points and the equally-weighted index, EGX50, fell 1.27% to 1,897 points.

The EGX’s trading volume reached 99.2 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to EGP 427.17 million.
