EGX’s indices close Wednesday’s session down

Cairo – Mubasher: The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the red territory after the EGX30 main index slid by 1.67% to 11,242.07 points.

The EGX50 EWI also went down by 1.20% to  2,048.71 points.

Furthermore, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 1.30% to 2,225.61 points and by 1.33% to 3,242.78 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.27 billion after 467.78 million shares were exchanged during the session. The market cap value reached EGP 762.95 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 63.93 million and EGP 7.23 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 71.17 million.
