EGX’s indices close Tuesday on collective decline

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index down by 0.82% to 9,867.23 points.

The EGX50 EWI fell by 0.87% to 1,886.57 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices also closed lower by 1.44% to 2,153.82 points and by 1.30% to 3,083.24 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 824.30 million after 407.70 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value totalled EGP 687.62 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 123.20 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 40.28 million and EGP 82.91 million, respectively.
