EGX’s indexes fall on Wednesday

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session with a negative performance, as the EGX30 main index fell by 1.54% to 16,777.20 points.

The EGX50 EWI declined by 1.99% to 2,847.88 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also closed lower by 1.49% at 2,936.76 points, while EGX100 EWI ended the session down by 1.69% at 4,387.47 points.

The turnover amounted to EGP 1.68 billion after 441.72 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value totalled EGP 1.06 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 61.12 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 32.67 million and EGP 28.45 million, respectively.
