Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note with the main EGX30 index sliding by 1.26% to 10,844 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 0.85% to end at 2,066 points, while the EGX100 EWI dropped by 0.82% to 3,001 points.
Similarly, the EGX50 EWI declined by 1.2% to register 2,200 points.
The market cap value retreated by EGP 3.78 billion to close at EGP 645.718 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 133.45 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 127.8 million and EGP 5.6 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.3 billion after 456.800 million shares were exchanged through nearly 41,940 transactions.
