Cairo – Mubasher: EGX indices gave a varied performance in Monday’s early trading session.
By 10:15am Cairo time, the main gauge EGX30 rose by 0.32% to 7,675 points.
Likewise, the equal-weighted index EGX50 moved up by 0.15% to 1,401 points and the broader index inched up 0.01% to 789 points.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap EGX70 opened the session 0.07% lower to 372 points.
Trading value reached EGP 27 million after 15 million shares were traded in 800 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers by EGP 3.2 million, while nationals and Arab investors were net sellers by EGP 455,000 and EGP 2.7 million respectively.
EGX indices collectively finished Sunday’s trading session in the red territory on Arab and foreign investors’ selling pressure. The main index fell 1.36%, or 105.68 points, to the mark of 7,650.62 points.
