Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session, March’s last session, in green territory.
The benchmark EGX30 index added 144.64 points, or 0.84%, closing at its highest level ever of 17,450 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 6.1 billion, ending the session at EGP 974.17 billion.
The EGX70 index slid 0.87% to 870.97 points, and the EGX100 index tumbled 0.79% to 2,238 points.
Trading volume reached nearly 902.5 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 2.3 billion through 46,670 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 85.4 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 32.7 million and EGP 52.7 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) edged up 0.39% to EGP 88.07 with a turnover of EGP 53.8 million.
