Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) declined at Monday’s open by 0.97% or 125.7 points to the level of 12,796.66 points.
By 10:33am Cairo time, the EGX70, EGX100 and EGX50 indices fell 0.65%, 0.64% and 1.31% respectively.
During this time, six stocks rose, 69 shrank and 36 others were flat.
Turnover amounted to EGP 128 million as 32.3 million shares were exchanged through 4,200 transactions.
Egyptian Iron and Steel, AMOC, Citadel Capital, EFG Hermes and Telecom Egypt declined between 4.49-3.52%.
Heavyweight CIB retreated 0.92% to EGP 77.5.
On the flipside, Orascom Construction grew 0.42% and Global Telecom rose 0.41%.
Local investors were net buyers by EGPO 3.7 million, while sales by Arab and foreign investors reached EGP 3.5 million and EGP 209,000.
