EGX ends Wednesday’s session down for 2nd day in row

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone for the second day in a row, with the EGX30 main index falling by 0.67% to 9,800.64 points.

The EGX50 EWI dropped by 1.01% to close at 1.867.5 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices also closed lower by 1.51% to 2,121.36 points and by 1.35% to 3,041.48 points, respectively.

The turnover amounted to EGP 883.09 million after 423.26 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value totalled EGP 683.88 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 174.75 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 39.95 million and EGP 134.79 million, respectively.
