Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session on a negative note.
The main EGX30 index declined by 0.53% to end the session at 14,126 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index shrank by 1.21% to 528 points, while the broader EGP100 index fell by 0.98% to 1,400 points.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 57.9 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 4.2 million and EGP 53.7 million, respectively.
Turnover amounted to EGP 433 million after 152 million shares were exchanged through about 16,650 transactions.
Market cap lost EGP 4.3 million to EGP 710.2 billion.
