EGX ends Tuesday on negative note

Cairo – Mubasher: The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index dropping by 1.54% to 11,268.04 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 1.07% to 2,039.68 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI and the EGX100 EWI indexes closed the session lower by 0.28% to 2,231.5 points and by 0.57% to 3,241.56 points, respectively.

Further, EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.34 billion after 490.80 million shares were exchanged during the session. The market cap value reached EGP 761.52 billion. 

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 56.80 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 28.74 million and EGP 28.05 million, respectively.
