Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's trading session on a varied note.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.93% to end at 11676 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 0.21% to 2311 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI edged up by 0.06% to 3307 points and the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.29%% to end at 2136 points.
The market cap value increased by EGP 2.54 billion to close at EGP 750.666 billion.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 24.23 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 17.39 million and EGP 6.84 million, respectively.
The market's turnover reached EGP 1.38 billion after 439.31 million shares were exchanged through nearly 43,680 transactions.
