EGX ends Thursday mixed

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday's trading session on a mixed note amid Arab and local purchases and foreign selloffs. 

The benchmark EGX30 index edged up by 0.06% to end at 10,278 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 0.79% to 2,328 points. 

In the meantime, the EGX100 EWI retreated by 0.58% to 2,296 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI fell by 0.56% to 2,201 points. 

The market cap value dropped by EGP 221 million to register EGP 651.463 billion. 

Arab and local investors were net buyers with EGP 4.9 million and EGP 39.36 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 44.35 million. 

The market's turnover stood at EGP 1.27 billion after 404.79 million shares were exchanged through around 44,740 transactions.
