Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday's trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases.
The main EGX0 index edged up by 0.04% to end at 10,723 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.43% to 2,824 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 1.79% to 3,804 points and the EGX50 EWI rose by 1.22% to 2,366 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 3.31 billion to reach EGP 706.44 billion on Thursday, compared to EGP 703.13 billion on Wednesday.
The market's turnover amounted to EGP 1.64 billion after 492.19 million shares were exchanged through around 54,380 transactions.
Local investors were net buyers with EGP 27.07 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 12.68 million and EGP 14.39 million, respectively.
