Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday's trading session on a positive note on the back of local and Arab purchases.
The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.78% to end at 11,662 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI increased by 0.65% to 2,200 points.
Likewise, the EGX100 EWI grew by 0.44% to 3,187 points and the EGX50 EWI advanced by 0.28% to end at 2,053 points.
The market cap value increased by EGP 1.14 billion to close at EGP 734.699 billion.
Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 94.84 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 20.84 million and EGP 74 million, respectively.
The market's turnover amounted to EGP 938.67 million after 247.57 million shares were exchanged through nearly 41,570 transactions.
