Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on positive note on the back of local purchases.
The main EGX30 index went up by 33 points, or 0.24%, to close at 14,239 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) increased by 1.10% to EGP 79.99.
In the meantime, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 index grew by 0.38% to 536 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.25% to 1,418 points.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 119.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 118.3 million and EGP 1.2 million, respectively.
Turnover reached EGP 338.3 million after 106 million shares were exchanged through about 16,300 transactions.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 12 million to EGP 717.8 billion.
