Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday's trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.93% to end at 10,745 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.56% to 2,573 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 2.23% to 3,546 points and the EGX50 EWI increased by 1.61% to 2,265 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 8.7 billion to close at EGP 694.175 billion.
Local investors were net buyers with EGP 39.07 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 3.5 million and EGP 35.48 million, respectively.
The market's turnover reached EGP 1.5 billion after 532.03 million shares were exchanged through around 50,450 transactions.
