Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session up amid Arab and foreign buying.
The benchmark EGX30 index closed up 0.25% or 36.75 points at 14,716.66 points.
The EGX70 index rose 1.7% to 818.44 points, while theEGX100 index added 1.13% to 1,923.96 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.73% to 2,590.74 points.
Market capitalization closed at EGP 525.19 billion, gaining EGP 4.4 billion.
Trading volume stood at 243.72 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.23 billion through 25,090 transactions.
Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 364 million, while Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 346 million and EGP 18 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) went up 1.46% to EGP 73.71 with a traded value of EGP 16.6 million.
