Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session in the green territory, backed by local purchases.
The EGX30 main index went up by 1.81% to close at 10,177.64 points, whilst the EGX50 EWI soared by 1.55% to stand at 1,930.69 points.
At the same time, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI and the EGX100 EWI indices rose by 2.06% to 2,233.52 points and by 2.08% to 3,204.13, respectively.
The trading value reached EGP 1.63 billion where 982.50 million shares were exchanged through 60,497 transactions. The market cap value stood at EGP 695.31 billion.
As for trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 141.53 million, whereas Arab and foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 10.37 million and EGP 131.16 million, respectively.
