Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a varied note amid foreign and Arab purchases and local selloffs.
The main EGX20 index rose by 0.15% to end at 11,046 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI edged down by 0.08% to 2,885 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX10 EWI fell by 0.06% to 2,863 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.27% to 2,405 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 775.2 million to close at EGP 720.535 billion.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 44.78 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 39.82 million and EGP 4.95 million, respectively.
The market's turnover registered EGP 1.99 billion after 533.85 million shares were exchanged through about 56,810.
