Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.09%, finishing the session at 16,362.59 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index inched up 0.05% to 806 points, while the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.04% to 2,061 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.06% to 2,738 points.
Trading volume stood at nearly 186.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 746.4 million through 19,240 transactions.
Foreign investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 172.2 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 161.7 million and EGP 13.5 million, respectively.
Market capitalisation lost EGP 885.9 million and closed at EGP 909.9 billion.
