EGX edges higher Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) indices traded in the green early Sunday, backed by Egyptian investors' purchases.

By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.08% or 10.54 points to 13,212 points.

The EGX70 index added 0.18% to 688.83 points, while the EGX100 and EGX50 index increased 0.16% and 0.05% to 1,725 points and 2,102 points, respectively.

Turnover amounted to EGP 45.9 million after 14.9 million shares changed hands through 1,600 transactions.

Egyptian investors netted EGP 4.4 million in purchases, while foreign and Arab investors netted EGP 1.5 million and EGP 2.9 million in sales, respectively.

Egyptian Resorts' stock led blue-chip risers, surging 9.35%, followed by EFG Hermes and Ezz Steel with 2.64% and 2.56%, respectively.
