EGX closes Wednesday's session on varied note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note with the benchmark EGX30 index decreasing by 0.47% to 10,847.46 points.

The EGX50 EWI also retreated by 0.07% to end Wednesday’s session at 1,862.92 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI went up by 0.25% to close Wednesday at 1,814.2 points, while EGX100 EWI inched up by 0.09% to 2,767.05 points.

The turnover amounted to EGP 1.23 billion after 157.60 million shares had been traded through 28,194 transactions.

The market cap value was valued at EGP 702.80 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 160.16 million, while Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 150.64 million and EGP 9.51 million, respectively.
