EGX closes Wednesday on mixed note

Cairo – Mubasher: The indexes of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session on a mixed note, with the EGX30 main index soaring by 4.56% to 11,781.58 points.

The EGX50 EWI also inched up by 0.71% to 2,054.18 points.

On the other hand, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI and the EGX100 EWI indexes closed the session lower by 0.95% to 2,210.21 points and by 0.28% to 3,232.57 points, respectively.

Further, EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.24 billion after 346.64 million shares were exchanged during the session. The market cap value reached EGP 778.06 billion. 

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net sellers with EGP 146.91 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 45.40 million and EGP 101.51 million, respectively.
