EGX closes Wednesday in red zone

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Wednesday’s trading session lower, with the EGX30 main index down 0.32% to 10,105.24 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 0.42% to 1,893.43 points.

Additionally, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 1.13% to 2,163.43 points and by 0.90% to 3,102.33 points, respectively.

The turnover stood at EGP 1.32 billion after 701.89 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value amounted to EGP 682.35 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 236.33 million and EGP 9.69 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 246.02 million.
