EGX closes Tuesday's session on varied note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note with the benchmark EGX30 index declining by 0.34% at 9,981.22 points.

The EGX50 EWI went up by 0.03% to settle at 1,767.68 points by the end of Tuesday’s session.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.92% to 1,854.04 points, while EGX100 EWI inched up by 0.62% to end the session at 2,742.32 points.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.77 billion after 415.05 million shares had been traded through 34,282 transactions.

The market cap value was valued at EGP 661.42 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 519.55 million and EGP 23.66 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 543.21 million.
