EGX closes Tuesday’s session on varied note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note with the benchmark EGX30 index rising by 0.03% at 10,423.09 points.

The EGX50 EWI went down by 0.39% to settle at 1,826.88 points by the end of Tuesday's session.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 1.02% to 1,818.01 points, while EGX100 EWI inched down by 0.89% to end the session at 2,747.61 points.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 8.85 billion after 290.03 million shares had been traded through 34,172 transactions.

The market cap value was valued at EGP 678.41 billion.

As for trading on securities, foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 3.10 billion, while Egyptian and Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 3.09 billion and EGP 14.05 million, respectively.
