EGX closes Thursday's session on varied note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Thursday's trading session on a mixed note with the benchmark EGX30 index declining by 0.01% at 10,235.43 points.

The EGX50 EWI also went up by 0.42% to settle at 1,799.96 points by the end of Thursday's session.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.11% to 1,857.51 points, while EGX100 EWI inched up by 0.81% to end the session at 2,765.13 points.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 2.11 billion after 720.63 million shares had been traded through 35,267 transactions.

The market cap value was valued at EGP 673.85 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 6.02 million and EGP 19.12 million, respectively, while foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 25.15 million.
