EGX closes Sunday with collective decline

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session in the red zone after the EGX30 main index declined by 0.78% to 18,726.01 points.

Both the EGX70 EWI and the EGX100 EWI closed the session lower by 0.45% at 3,812.36 points and by 0.56% at 5,566.59 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover reached EGP 1.61 billion through the exchange of 867.60 million shares, while the market cap value hit EGP 1.26 trillion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 37.96 million and EGP 8.40 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 46.36 million.
