EGX closes Sunday on varied note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday's trading session on a mixed note with the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rising by 0.18%.

The benchmark EGX30 index declined by 1.35% at 10,097.55 points.

The EGX50 EWI also went down by 0.41% to settle at 1,792.58 points by the end of Thursday's session.

The EGX100 EWI inched down by 0.05% to end the session at 2,763.74 points.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.87 billion after 457.56 million shares had been traded through 31,055 transactions.

The market cap value was valued at EGP 668.53 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 289.42 million, while Arab and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 267.94 million and EGP 21.47 million, respectively.
