EGX closes Monday on negative note

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 main index down 0.55% to 10,122.32 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 0.80% to 1,916.66 points.

Additionally, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed the session lower by 0.66% to 2,209.44 points and by 0.62% to 3,163.51 points, respectively.

The turnover stood at EGP 1.58 billion after 978.06 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value amounted to EGP 688.70 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were net buyers with EGP 75.91 million. Meanwhile, the foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 61.68 million and EGP 14.23 million, respectively.
