EGX approves listing CIB's capital raise shares

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange's (EGX) listing committee approved a request by the Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) to list its capital raise shares. 

The issued and paid-up capital will be raised by EGP 4.925 billion to EGP 19.702 billion from EGP 14.776 billion, the EGX said in a statement on Sunday. 

The capital raise will be carried out through a 0.33-for-one bonus issue, totalling 492.560 million bonus shares at a value of EGP 10 apiece, to be financed by the general reserves for the period ended 31 December 2020.

The record date of the bonus issue is the end of the trading session on 15 August. Shares will be listed at the beginning of the trading session on 16 August. 

In the first half (H1) of 2021, CIB achieved consolidated net profits of EGP 6.088 billion, up from EGP 4.997 billion in H1-20, including minority shareholders' rights.
