Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Financial and Industrial Company (EFIC) reported on Sunday a 268% year-on-year hike in profits due to higher revenues, according to a bourse filing.
The Egyptian firm achieved profits of EGP 60.5 million in the six months ended June 2017 from EGP 16.4 million in the corresponding period of 2016.
In the first half of 2017, the firm’s revenues rose to EGP 327.49 million from EGP 155.9 million in H1-16.
The company achieved profits of EGP 54.18 million the three months ended in March 2017, compared to EGP 3.96 million in the same period of the year before.
By 2:03 am Cairo time, EFIC’s stock inched down 0.72% to EGP 17.96 with a turnover of EGP 2.7 million.
