Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has signed two contracts at a combined value of EGP 656 million with El Nasr Transformers and Electrical Products Company (ELMACO) and El Sewedy Transformers, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric Co., Ahram reported on Wednesday.
At a total cost of EGP 325 million, ELMACO will supply and supervise the installation and testing of 50 66/22-11-kv transformers at a capacity of 40 MVA at several substations in Cairo, Alexandria, West Delta, Suez Canal, Upper Egypt, and Middle Egypt, EETC’s chairman Sabah Mashaly stated.
The transformers will be supplied over a period of five months starting from the date of signing the contract, Mashaly added.
Moreover, EETC also signed a deal worth EGP 331 million with El Sewedy Transformers to supply and supervise the installation and testing of 51 66/22-11-kv transformers at a capacity of 40 MVA over a period of five months as of the date of signing the deal.
