EDGE, ADDED partner to boost Abu Dhabi’s industrial capabilities

UAE – Mubasher: Emirati advanced technology and defence company EDGE has signed a cooperation agreement with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) to enhance Abu Dhabi’s industrial capabilities.

Under the agreement, EDGE will provide training programmes, Industry 4.0 use case demonstrations, innovation events, and advisory services through its Learning and Innovation Factory centre, according to a press release.

ADDED and EDGE will also explore opportunities to enhance Abu Dhabi’s industrial competitiveness and capabilities in the fourth industrial revolution.

The two entities will cooperate to facilitate localised research in sustainable manufacturing.

This cooperation aligns with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s ‘UAE Industry 4.0’ initiative, which aims to transform the UAE's industrial base into a globally competitive, productive, and sustainable sector at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution.
